This is really just out of control and absolutely something must be done and soon! 3 shootings in one week does NOT happen "every where" I'd be putting a for sale sign up on my home if 3 shootings happened with in one week in my neighborhood.

My sympathies to all the victims. Very sad.

We make an annual (since 1992) pilgrimage to the West End each November. It is our hope that some resolution to this will be accomplished by then.

What bothers me is that these crimes do not seem to be discrete and personal but rather like a wild west method. Thugs shooting guns from motor bikes! Sounds more like Wilmington, NC than the West End.

Sitting in one of the many saloons along the West End Road, how does one stay out of the line of fire? I would think the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Negril Chamber of Commerce etc. would be on this like glue. If this continues its a deal breaker for me.
Maybe not so for the wife. Might end up on the West End no matter what as part of the ball and chain (uh...just kidding).

"Cynical"? Someone was shot and killed. Doesn't matter if it was "connected". Yes, let's "wait and see" who else gets killed tomorrow. Maybe the next person deserved it.
