just saw on FB whagwaan page that yet another local was shot to death..near the cash pot store lane on the west end..... I'm sure rasta gril will be on soon to update us and any peeps with connections to that area.... I just pray this violence ends ....

Unreal, So much violence in the same area, Why are the authorities not setting roadblocks to catch these guys? The west end has few exits to block ... and they block roads all the time for spot checks !

This is just crazy and so very sad! People just trying to make a living and take care of their families and thugs just take over.

Lots of different stories out there...some say it was three men on bikes and that the robbed him of 80,000ja as he was on his way to the bank. Others say he was not robbed.
Point is, another person lost his life on the west end. No matter who he pissed off or if he was in the wrong place at the wrong time he lost his life.
With this being the big party week, lots of hustlers are in town from all over the island to party and to see what can be taken from others.

Another unfortunate news to read and digest. To me, it is unusual for 2 biz persons in the same area, of the West End to be murdered (if the 2nd is not robbery related-). These 2 incidents can be very related, in some way, like a retaliation, that no one knows about. Or not at all. The sad thing is sometimes one can harbour bad minded or threatening thoughts and the same person does not even know that they angered someone enough to be killed.
In any case, if neither is a robbery, as mentioned it could be an issue we will never know...and related or not in some way.
Conversely, both places /persons could have really be being 'watched' and the thugs got lucky (if it was robbery). I don't know because I hear all different stories at this point.
One thing to remember these boy-thugs (i.e. young guys) on these bikes aren't used to being happy with some little bit of money. These guys aren't robbing for 10k JMD. It's deeper than that IMO.
It' definitely a big mess and a complicated one.

I think this is the same incident where a businessman was murdered but the circumstances and name in this article are different. The location seems to be the same.
