A few days ago a story on a male jogger gang rape (google it if you wish - Observer or Gleaner or any other JA-related media are all over it) hit the media replete with lurid details. Follow on editorials, Clovis toons having a field day (of course).
Just wondering if anyone else consideres this a likely planted story (made up story). Seems too conincidental after the UWI Bain firing controversy, followed by stories of "badmen gangsta" in hardest of JA ghettos are openly gay and no one bothers them. Now this story.
I suppose the story could've happened, I just find it highly unlikely and the lack of any identified sources, police claiming no knowledge of the incident, etc. seems to me to be fishy (no pun intended).
Did the church, or some other anti JFLAG, anti-Gomes, group plant this story?
Or perhaps years of reading JA media and user comments have made me too suspicious/distrustful.

Negril has a very active gay community it's just not very public. I have a gay friend who goes to Negril for about 6 weeks each winter and he sais it's wide open . He is in the music business here and does some sound work there . Most of the beach boys will go with men if there atre no tourist women to pick up . He says that when you see the guys playing soccer on the beach (like around Yellowbird ) and then you see a tourist join in THAT'S the SIGNAL !!!!!
