RE: Spring has Sprung - dreadneck - 06-02-2014 Wow, the focus is so clear on these shots, beautiful! RE: Spring has Sprung - Bruce - 06-02-2014 Thanks again Rootwoman and Selvin! Rootswoman, please get out there and capture those beautiful flowers and post some here. Dread, I bought a 100mm macro last year mostly to use for flower shots and it can be extremely sharp if I use it correctly. RE: Spring has Sprung - dreadneck - 06-03-2014 Bruce, I need to get a new SLR body, mine has been out of service for the past year, and I've been using my pocket camera, a Panasonic LX7, and of course, my phone to take pictures. My pictures have been lacking a bit of the image quality that my SLR is capable of, it's decent, and I haven't heard any complaints, but it's definitely somewhat limiting. [attachment=704] [attachment=705] RE: Spring has Sprung - Bruce - 06-03-2014 I think those came out beautiful Selvin. RE: Spring has Sprung - dreadneck - 06-03-2014 Thanks Bruce. It's an awesome little pocket camera with a 24-90mm equivalent f 1.4 - f 2.3 lens, plus it shoots full 1080p video. The lack of an optical viewfinder is a bit of a pain, although they offer an optional electronic viewfinder for around $169 (don't have it). RE: Spring has Sprung - Bruce - 06-04-2014 That's a fast lens for a non DSLR. It shows just how far camera technology has come. The world of photography is really changing. RE: Spring has Sprung - Bruce - 06-06-2014 Here's one I like from a couple of days ago. [attachment=708] RE: Spring has Sprung - rootswoman - 06-06-2014 Oh my gosh Bruce! That is killer! RE: Spring has Sprung - Bruce - 06-06-2014 Thanks much Rootswoman! RE: Spring has Sprung - daniel - 06-07-2014 wow is right , stunning pictures Bruce ! Still spring here in Maine . The flowershave been pretty, but , some are so short lived . The english onions were beautiful this season, but only last a few days Like many here , i really like Iris , we have common, yellow, and wild . no buds on the yellow yet, but the wild ones i moved last fall seem to like thier new home , and will flower soon there were no flowers anywhere around the house when we moved here 3 years ago . I have transplanted everything from friends and relatives castoffs . I also really like native wild flowers . My favorites , Lily of the Valley and columbine next week peonies !!! |
